UV Phantom Quartz – Hansen Creek #2, King Co., Washington

These mesmerizing quartz crystals contain hidden UV-reactive phantom inclusions, only visible under shortwave UV light. When illuminated, glowing green and yellow phantoms emerge, revealing an otherworldly landscape within the otherwise glassy-clear quartz. A truly unique discovery, self-collected in 2023 from my Hansen Creek #2 claim in Washington.

All UV crystals come with a collection of photos showcasing the phantoms under SW 255nm light. Images are close to true size, so you can enjoy viewing these reactions anytime, in any light.

This cluster has really visible Actinolite needles at the base of the main crystal as well as a double terminated base. A truly awesome cluster!
